Most have king-sized beds. Plymouth City Centre is 25 mins by car and Derriford Hospital is less than 15 mins. We have an excellent bus service to Derriford (20min) and then to the city centre (40 mins) We are in the centre of Yelverton which has the bests election of shops in the area, it has a supermarket, post office, garage, pub, cafe, deli, pharmacy and a few others.

Breakfast is taken in the residents room with provisions provided. A home cooked midday meal and supper are served daily in the dining room. The delightful barn conversion is situated within the owner’s grounds which is renowned for its beautiful scenery and set within their own trout fishery. On entering this split-level barn, you are greeted by the light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The kitchen area is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, coffee machine, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, and you don’t even need to do the dishes as there is a dishwasher to do the work for you. The lounge area which is accessed via a small set of stairs is a great space to sit back, relax and watch a movie or two on the TV/DVD after a long day of exploring the local surroundings, or, if you still have the energy why not have a game of tennis on the Wii. Heading on up to the first floor there are two bedrooms, one super-king-size (which can be made up as a twin on request) with a TV and one double with a TV. You will also find the bathroom here with a shower and WC. Down to the lower ground floor you have a double bedroom with TV, patio doors leading out onto the garden area and an en-suite shower and WC. Venture outside to the small enclosed rear patio area, where you will find the hot tub, private BBQ and garden furniture. Fly fishing is available all year and children can try their hand at float fishing (available from Easter - Sept). ' The Smithy has won the Unique Holiday Cottages Unique Retreat Award. Built in the 1840s on the old Okel Tor Mine in Cornwall these buildings are steeped in history. What was once the Mine Captain's Office and Blacksmith’s Workshop, these buildings are now beautiful holiday cottages that are Scheduled Ancient Monuments in a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Books are available for guests to read about the history and after recent funding there are also interpretation boards explaining all about the ruins and mines. It’s an incredible place to stay. Peace and tranquillity within walking distance of a lovely village. ' The Smithy is a beautifully appointed Cornish holiday cottage for two offering cosy self-catering accommodation in what was once the former blacksmith’s workshop at Okel Tor Mine. It’s one of two cottages, the other being The Count House. Set in 16 acres of natural woodland, this romantic country getaway offers a relaxing, peaceful getaway in the Tamar Valley AONB and World Heritage Site. This cosy cottage retains its traditional charm with country style furnishings throughout. The covered verandah provides an opportunity to eat al fresco, or simply watch and listen to the local wildlife whatever the weather! Should guests not be able to stay due to lockdown, travel restrictions, illness or isolation related to COVID-19 they will be able to change their holiday dates or get a full refund. The cottage cleaning regime has been enhanced in accordance with government guidelines to help protect guests from coronavirus. Duvets, pillows and cushions are alternated/quarantined for a minimum of 72 hours between bookings. Hand and kitchen sanitisers and bathroom cleaner are provided.
