I'm currently looking for a female flat mate to move into my 2 bedroom flat in May, when my current flat mate is moving out. Hey, I'm Helena, a 23 year old self employed professional. I currently live with my 4 year old rescue dog, Ziggy he’s a lovely calm & placid boy. We live in the lovely village of Monkseaton, a stones throw from the sea front. I have many interests and love trying new things, in recent years I have been spending my summers going on adventures, local walks, parks and beaches, chilling in beer gardens & local cafes, as well as paddleboarding at the coast. I also love travelling when I can. In the winter I enjoy taking trips to national trust properties, meeting with friends to take part in local pub quizes, arts and crafts nights and chilled out movie nights. If you are new to the area, I can make many recommendations or show you some great places! We’re spoilt for choice here. As well as being sociable, I also respect peoples space and privacy. I am clean and tidy but also easy going. The Area: It's located in the seaside, friendly village of Monkseaton, a 10 minute walk to the metro with access to Newcastle City Centre in 25 minutes. It's also only a 15 minute walk to the beach, where you can take walks to the lighthouse (to the north) where there are seals and regular passing dolphins (spotted them on a few occassions now) the area has a plethora of wildlife. Or walk south to cullercoats and Tynemouth where there are a number of other beaches offering water sports & bike hire. As well as the ancient priory and many local shops, bars and restaurants. There are 3 friendly local pubs within 2 minutes walk from the flat, serving food, local live music & regular pub quizes (normal times). And a local award winning Thai restaurant. A 15 minute walk into Whitley Bay town centre, with lots of lovely friendly local shops with locally sourced produce. As well as many supermarkets in the area. There are also many gyms, swimming pool, clubs, art studios, theatre & cinema etc within 15 - 20 mins walk. The Flat: It is situated above a commercial premises with very little noise and none at all at night or early morning. so no noisy neighbours! The room available is a bright, spacious, sunny, furnished double room. The wardrobe has a dressing table, drawers and hidden shelves. The flat also has an office room (currently has some storage items which will be gone for you moving in) This will be free for your use most of the time as I work from my room and outside. I have my sewing machine in the office which you would be more than welcome to use. The living/dining area has been newly decorated with a large screen TV, with free access to Netflix, Amazon movies, and Disney+ The kitchen which is fully equipped and has washing machine, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and toaster. There is a bright clean shared bathroom, with a shower, bath and a seperate toilet room. Externally, there are 2 secure yard areas (one private, one shared by the downstairs property) with seating, the private yard has a grassed area and planters, and outdoor lighting, perfect for summer bbq’s. There is also a good sized outhouse ideal for storing bikes and sports equipment. On street parking or ample parking in the back lane. All Bills are included, including fast wifi.
