Room in stunning location for professional person

listed on 2019-07-28  SpareRoom

My partner is moving down to London and we have a room to share our beautiful home on the outskirts of Carlisle. We’re looking to rent for a year, but we could extend further. It’s a two bed room detached house in the country side with over 3.5 acres of amazing gardens. You’ve got your own bathroom which has its own thermal spa. The place has good WiFi. The place is yours to share. Gary will be away to London every second week, so you will have the place to yourself a great deal. You will be sharing with Gary, who is a falconer and runs bird of prey activities from the site and our dog Molly, who is a five year old springer spaniel. I am happy go lucky, likes a bit of a chat after work, but have his own stuff going on. I am very easy going, and from time to time if you fancied a glass of vino, that’s cool. Nearby there is a local pub, and great bike rides as well as stunning country walks. We’re about five miles from Sainsbury’s and gyms. It would be great if you liked dogs. Molly is pretty sweet but she has her own routine, and is not allowed in bedrooms. We want you to be a professional, and to make the place your own. You’re welcome to bring people back and generally treat it as your home. The place is worth seeing Hit us up if you have questions. Room is available now. If you want to come and see the place, get in touch. We will need to check references.

During Roman times the town was established to serve the forts for Hadrian's Wall, which runs east from the city across the country to Wallsend on the east coast and today is recognised as a World Heritage Site. During the Middle Ages, due to its proximity to the Kingdom of Scotland, Carlisle became an important military stronghold and Carlisle Castle, still relatively intact, was built in 1092 by William Rufus, after once serving as a prison for Mary, Queen of Scots. The castle now houses the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment and the Border Regiment Museum. In the early 12th century Henry I allowed the foundation of a priory in Carlisle and the town gained the status of a diocese in 1122, resulting in the priory becoming Carlisle Cathedral. There is a small market on Thursdays in Silloth, and a car boot on Sundays, just out of town. Slightly further afield there is the great border city of Carlisle and the northern Lake District.
